Photo Diary: The CurvyCon

I’m currently in New York for Fashion Week and having the most fabulously exhausting time of my life! Getting around the city on the subway is no joke! And now that I’m FINALLY getting the hang of it, I’ll be flying to San Francisco. The CurvyCon was last weekend and it was incredible! You may have seen a few of my photos on the Gram, but chile, I bossed up and purchased myself a fancy new camera! So the 500+ photos need to be uploaded before they can be shared.

While I don’t have time to break everything down, just yet. I wanted to share some of the photos I took with some of THE most influential style and fashion bloggers in the game. The full tea will be spilled and soon. But for now, here’s a look at who I met and what I wore to whet your appetite.

Day #1

Callie-Thorpe-at-Curvy-ConI started Day #1 at CurvyCon by meeting the incredibly sweet Callie Thorpe.

A-Beard-Named-Troy-at-CurvyConNext, I saw my FAVE Troy with his dressed to impress crew and had to click a pic.

Fluvia-Lacerda-at-Curvy-ConI saw the gorgeous Fluvia Lacerda on my way to the bar and just had to tell her how much I admire her! You’ve seen her face all over my blog and she is truly an inspiration. And as nice as she is beautiful, seriously!

Gabi-Fresh-Nicolette-Mason-Curvy-ConI headed upstairs for the Fashion Show and saw Blogger Besties and Premme Designers Gabi and Nicolette sitting Front Row.

Lizzo-and-Jessica-Torres-Curvy-ConThen I tried not to completely FAN OUT when I saw Jessica chatting it up with LIZZO! Seriously, how STUNNING are these two?

Day #2

Day two was packed with panels and discussions from some of my favorite bloggers and brands. I was thrilled to be decked out in a sexy and edgy look provided by Lane Bryant. Since it was the final day you know your girl had to take as many photos as possible!

Gabi-Fresh-at-Curvy-ConBy this point, I’m sure Gabi thought I was a stalker. But ain’t no shame in my game! I asked for yet another photo. If you follow me on IG then you saw our blurry selfie from Day #1.

Emily-Roy-at-Curvy-Con

Sometimes social media doesn’t suck. I was introduced to Emily (The creator of Montréal + Fashion Week) by a mutual Facebook friend. She’s a sweet and stylish girl boss and I’m happy we got a chance to connect IRL.

Rez-to-the-City-at-Curvy-ConI was very happy to meet Nekiah of Rez to the City. If nothing more, I learned that orange and purple are a FANTASTIC color combination! Seriously, how incredible does she look!?

Authentically-Emmie-at-Curvy-ConNot only did I get to meet Emily of Authentically Emmie. We got to hang a bit! She was fun, funny and so down to earth. I’m also happy to say that she’s a member of Fat Girls Traveling!

Fat-Girls-Traveling-Curvy-Con I was beyond thrilled to be able to link up with a couple other Fat Girls Traveling Members!

Fat-Girls-Traveling-Creator-Attends-CurvyCon All in all, The CurvyCon was a success. I was able to meet some of my favorite people in fashion, see some of the NYC sights and get all dolled up for absolutely no reason and every single reason. And for a fashion girl, is there anything better in life?
